Howletts, Kent’s original wildlife park, houses some of the world’s most endangered and rare animals. With over 390 animals, including Kent’s only giant anteaters, the largest herd of African elephants in the UK, more gorillas than any other zoo in the country, and now the introduction of four adorable lion cubs, sisters, Zimbi, Simbi and Zala, and brother, Cazzo. Howletts rescued the cubs from a death sentence when they heard a big cat breeder was going to euthanise them when their mother passed away. The four cubs are thriving and now strong enough to be out in their own enclosure for guests to enjoy and be part of their journey.
