The Ferry House - Give Mum a Meal to Remember at The Ferry House
Boasting a 2AA Rosette for Culinary Excellence, family-owned rustically refined country restaurant and boutique hotel, The Ferry House in Kent has developed a special one-day only menu for Mother’s Day.
Available for lunch and dinner on Sunday 10 March, the menu is priced at £35 per person for two courses and £40 per person for three courses. Dishes are crafted from home-grown and locally sourced produce to serve up the best of culinary Kent as the restaurant places strong emphasis on following a ‘Plot to Plate’, ‘Field to Fork’ and ‘Grain to Glass’ ethos.
Menu highlights include:
Shell on Mussels, Preserved Garden Tomato Sofrito, Herb Salad
Estate Duck Wellington, Duck & Garden Sage Farce, Garden Roasted Turnips, Duck Jus
Choux Bun, Vanilla Cream, Kentish Plum Compote
Lunch tables are available 12pm-3.30pm and dinner tables from 6pm-7.30pm. Bookings include a table gift for all mother figures.
Described as ‘the nearest faraway place to London’, The Ferry House is located on its very own little island, The Isle of Harty, which is separated from the Isle of Sheppey by a small road causeway and the rest of Kent by a larger crossing. A popular wedding venue, it is surrounded by rolling farmland, wild meadows, Blue Flag coastline, and two protected wetland bird reserves. Nestled beside the Swale estuary in the hamlet of Harty, at just 60 minutes from London and with excellent road links from the M2 and M20, it might just be Kent’s best kept secret.
