Produced in Kent partner with Zoom events, the new organisers of Canterbury’s Food & Drink Festival

Produced in Kent has teamed up with Zoom Events, the new organisers of the annual food festival, with plans to make the newly named ‘Canterbury’s Cooking’ Festival bigger and better than ever!

The festival is to be held in Dane John Gardens from the 22nd to the 24th of September 2023. Produced in Kent will be working to ensure that local food & drink remains at the heart of the festival, with the iconic Produced in Kent area showcasing the very best of Kentish fare, delights & craft, as well as the dynamic community behind it, as it has since the festival began. Zoom Events will be bringing new attractions to the festival, including comedy nights on the Friday & Saturday evening, as well as an exciting new cookery demo stage which will run throughout the entirety of the festival. The stage will give visitors a glimpse of how local producers create their products, as well as renowned local chefs teaching the tricks of their trade. Floortje Hoette, from Produced in Kent said: “We are very excited to be working together with Zoom Events as they are providing the perfect platform for Produced in Kent to showcase the fabulous food and drink that is grown, produced, sold and served in our beautiful county – to the residents of Canterbury but also to students and visitors from outside our region. Good food and drink is what makes an event into a success and Produced in Kent is confident its members deliver on that promise. Zoom Events is increasingly involved in Kent foodie festivals and we are looking forward to working more closely with them on other events as well.” Nathan from Zoom Events said: “We’re thrilled to announce we’ll be bringing the new Canterbury’s Cooking: A Festival of Food and Drink to Dane John gardens this September. We’ll be working closely with Produced in Kent, the Canterbury BID and local businesses to bring an exciting festival that celebrates the vibrant culinary scene in Canterbury and Kent. Alongside the eclectic food offering, we’ll have a kitchen theatre with chef demonstrations, a specially curated music line-up, children’s entertainment across the weekend and two ticket comedy evenings. We can’t wait to get started. Stay tuned!” Look out for more announcements about the event on the Produced in Kent socials @producedinkent, or sign up to their mailing list on the website ProducedinKent.co.uk
